Definitions

High Net Worth Individual

You qualify if at least one of the following applies:

Annual income of £100,000 or more in the last financial year.
Net assets of £250,000 or more, excluding primary residence, pension rights, and certain insurance benefits.

Self-Certified Sophisticated Investor

You qualify if at least one of the following applies:

Member of a business angel network or syndicate for at least six months.
More than one investment in an unlisted company in the last two years.
Worked in private equity, finance, or in the provision of finance for SMEs in the last two years.
Director of a company with annual turnover of at least £1 million in the last two years.
